RoofQuantiX ("we," "us," or "our") operates the website roofquantix.com and provides aerial roof measurement report services. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and your rights regarding your personal data. By using our website or placing an order, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

When you interact with RoofQuantiX — whether by placing an order, creating an account, or contacting us — we may collect the following categories of personal information:

  • Contact Information: Email address and phone number.
  • Property Information: The property address or addresses you submit for roof measurement analysis.
  • Payment Information: All payment transactions are processed securely through PayPal. We do not directly collect, store, or process your credit card numbers or banking details. PayPal may share limited transaction confirmation data (such as transaction ID and payment status) with us to fulfill your order.
  • Order Information: Report type selected, delivery tier (Express, Standard, or Economy), order date, and order status.
  • Technical Information: IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, pages visited, and referring URLs, collected automatically through standard web server logs and browser storage mechanisms.
  • Communications: Any messages, support requests, or feedback you send us via email or our support channels.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • Order Fulfillment: To process your order, generate your roof measurement report, and deliver it to you within your selected timeframe.
  • Email Notifications: To send you order confirmations, report delivery notifications, and status updates. These transactional emails are sent via EmailJS (see Section 4).
  • Customer Support: To respond to your inquiries, resolve disputes, and process refund requests.

We do not use your personal information for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

3. PayPal Payment Processing

All payment transactions on RoofQuantiX are handled by PayPal, a trusted third-party payment processor. When you click "Pay with PayPal," you are redirected to PayPal's secure environment to complete your purchase.

  • We do not store, transmit, or have access to your credit card numbers, debit card numbers, or bank account details.
  • PayPal provides us with a transaction ID and payment confirmation so we can process your order.
  • PayPal's handling of your financial information is governed by PayPal's own Privacy Policy.
  • During testing phases, PayPal's Sandbox environment may be used. No real financial data is processed in sandbox mode.

4. EmailJS for Transactional Emails

We use EmailJS, a third-party email delivery service, to send transactional emails such as order confirmations and report delivery notifications. When an email is triggered:

  • Your name, email address, order details, and property address are passed to EmailJS solely for the purpose of composing and sending that specific email.
  • EmailJS does not use your data for marketing or share it with unrelated third parties.
  • EmailJS's data handling is governed by their own privacy policy, available at emailjs.com.

5. Cookies and localStorage

Our website uses browser-based storage mechanisms to improve your experience:

  • localStorage: We may use your browser's localStorage to retain session preferences, partially completed order details, and authentication state so you do not need to re-enter information when navigating between pages.
  • Session Cookies: Temporary cookies may be set for session management purposes. These are deleted when you close your browser.
  • Analytics Cookies: If we use web analytics tools, they may set cookies to track aggregate, anonymized usage statistics. We do not use these to identify you personally.

  • Support Communications: Retained for up to 2 years after the matter is resolved.

These measures include secure HTTPS transmission, access controls, and using reputable third-party processors (PayPal, EmailJS) that maintain their own security standards. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

  • Withdraw Consent: Where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.
